Octomom taken to court to have guardian appointed for children
Celebrity attorney Gloria Allred has petitioned the Orange County Superior Court to have a guardian appointed for Nadya “Octomom” Suleman’s eight infant children, reports People.com. “Rather than choosing to provide her children with a normal life,” Allred reportedly said at a press conference, “their mother has chosen to commercially exploit them and it appears she plans to continue commercial exploitation of them in the future. If she doesn’t protect their rights, the courts will do it for her.” The petition was filed on behalf of child rights activist Paul Peterson, a former Mouseketeer and child actor. A hearing is scheduled for June 22.
