The driver of a Ferrari used for a controlled car chase in Times Square for the upcoming Nicolas Cage film The Sorcerer’s Apprentice lost control of the car last night and hydroplaned into the sidewalk, injuring two pedestrians, reports the New York Post. Both were hospitalized, but their injuries were reportedly not life-threatening. It was unclear whether Cage was present at the time of the accident. The Disney movie is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, directed by Jon Turteltaub (National Treasure), and co-stars Jay Baruchel (Tropic Thunder) as the titular apprentice.
