Just days after sparring with a Canadian radio host during a contentious interview, Billy Bob Thornton and his band, the Boxmasters, have dropped out of Willie Nelson’s tour, for which they’d been serving as an opening act. According to the Associated Press, a note on Nelson’s website announced that the move was “due to one band member and several of the crew having the flu.” It also came one day after Thornton was booed by a Toronto crowd on Thursday during the Boxmasters’ set. Nelson will still perform tonight in London, Ont., with his other opening act, Ray Price.
