The next 24 hours are crucial in the criminal threat allegations against R&B singer Chris Brown, who’s expected to appear in court tomorrow in Los Angeles. TMZ is reporting that the L.A. District Attorney’s office has received — and is now reviewing — Brown’s case file. It’s unclear whether Brown will be charged with a crime — especially in light of recent reports that Brown has reunited with Rihanna, whom he allegedly assaulted on the night before the Grammys. In fact, E! is reporting that Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos is trying to negotiate a possible plea deal with the D.A. to keep Brown out of jail. Brown has declined to comment on the case beyond his Feb. 15 statement that he was saddened “over what transpired.”
