Bob Dylan will release a new studio album in late April, Rolling Stone reports. The magazine quotes an anonymous insider who says the 10-song set’s arrival “came as a surprise” to those around the folk-rock legend. The currently untitled album reportedly centers on “raw-country lovesongs, sly wordplay and the wounded state of the nation.” Dylan’s most recent studio effort was 2006’s Modern Times; last year, he released the outtakes compilation Tell Tale Signs.
