Stump, the 10-year-old Sussex Spaniel who’s now the oldest Best in Show winner in the history of the Westminster Kennel Club dog show, stopped by CBS’ The Early Show this morning to taunt viewers with his long, pillowy soft ears and his sweet, curmudgeonly mug. He seemed unfazed by dog show fanatic Harry Smith’s determination to get an answer to “What’s his deal?” Or by Julie Chen’s use of her special dog voice. Or by the show’s countdown clock to a live performance by Jessica Simpson. He does deserve a trophy.
