EW.com reported last week that the Sex and the City sequel was close to being greenlit…and today the Associated Press has a story in which a spokesperson for New Line confirms that the anticipated movie has indeed been given the go-ahead. According to the report, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon have all signed on, as has writer-director Michael Patrick King. The sequel is slated for summer 2010.
