‘Star-ving’: What’s new in Web TV

Hey, out-of-work ex-child stars: Why melodramatically debase yourself with Confessions of a Teen Idol when you can hilariously embrace your own shame, like Married…With Children‘s David Faustino? In his ”semiautobiographical” Web series, the cash-strapped onetime Bud Bundy is constantly saved from suicidal despair by BFF Corin Nemec, a fellow has-been from Fox’s early-’90s sitcom Parker Lewis Can’t Lose. (As Faustino’s voice-over says, ”He lost.”) Nemec is another gem, using a dead plant as toilet paper, revealing that he’s the father of three Compton preteens, and trading barbs with guest (and far-more-employable Married alum) Ed O’Neill. Faustino sidesplittingly succeeds at utter failure. B+
