Whitney Port moving from 'The Hills' to [Insert Better Title Here]

MTV announced today that Whitney Port will officially be leaving The Hills in early 2009…and getting her own spin-off.

Here’s a quick rundown of what we’ll be seeing: “With a great new job at global design house, Diane von Furstenberg, a best friend from her past and a guy she’s head-over-heels for, Whitney is taking a huge chance at a brand new life. Surrounded by all new friends, pursuing a fresh love life, and starting to work in the upper echelon of the fashion industry is a lot to navigate for a new girl in the big city… especially one who has everything to lose. In a city full of people with their own agendas, Whitney will have to quickly decide who she can trust and who to stay away from.”

I’m loving the last line of that press release because, honestly, couldn’t the same thing be said for L.A., too? Also, how embarrassing is it for Whitney’s new beau to be described as “a guy she’s head-over-heels for”? I mean, what if these two have already broken up by the time the show airs? (Well, not if he’s under contract!)

Oh, and I forgot to mention the best part: Whitney’s spin-off is going to be called…drumroll, please…The City. (Doesn’t MTV know that’s dull as dry toast, and also cursed? ABC slapped that title on a 1995 reboot of its long-running daytime soap Loving, and had to take the whole enterprise out back with a can of tuna only two years later.) Why not The Apple? Or The Big Time? Or heck, even Port-al to the East Coast?

Okay, maybe not that last one. What other better titles can you guys come up with for Whit’s show? And do you plan to watch it, or are you as over this idea as you are Spencer’s facial hair?
