I loved so much about last night’s episode of House, from the introduction of Michael Weston’s private eye/rent-a-friend character and how he plays off of House to Wilson’s rebuff of House’s hatchet-burying overture. But what really stayed with me was the way that the prickly doctor treated the nursing staff when he repeatedly pressed the patient’s emergency help button just to ask them for tea. Maybe I’ve had too many relatives who’ve worked in hospitals, or I just took that silly old Golden Rule to heart too much, but I think someone who treated nurses like that would catch a bad one pretty quickly. I know this is House we’re talking about, but don’t you think that a doc who’s worked in a hospital that long would know to fear retribution from the nursing staff?
