You don’t have to know Evan Longoria (the hot-hitting star of MLB’s Tampa Bay Rays) from Eva Longoria (the hot-blooded star of ABC’s Desperate Housewives) to appreciate the “25 Must-See YouTube Sports Videos” compiled on sister site SI.com. From the feel-good story of Jason McElwain (the autistic high-school basketball team manager given a chance to play a few minutes in what should’ve been a meaningless game) to the bizarre spectacle of an airplane making an unscheduled landing during a baseball game (not from Superman Returns) to the squirm-inducing hilarity of “Boom goes the dynamite!” (our personal favorite, embedded below, in which an aspiring sportscaster self-destructs on-air), these clips are endlessly entertaining. As Yogi Berra once said: “You can observe a lot by watching.”
