It took 28 years for the British crime film to match the promise of John Mackenzie’s paranoid classic The Long Good Friday. All we needed was Transporter star Jason Statham in The Bank Job, delivering a gruff, grounded turn as a small-time crook duped into nicking compromising photos of Princess Margaret from a Lloyds vault. The special-edition EXTRAS include a mind-blowing doc on the real-life raid behind the film. Those lads actually dug a tunnel from a leather shop, under a chicken restaurant, into a bank over the weekend. A-
