(FROM BILLBOARD) — American Idol finalist Kristy Lee Cook has signed a record deal with 19 Recordings/Arista Nashville, the home of past Idol favorites Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler. Cook’s first album is expected in the fall; she’ll record it in between dates on the American Idols Live! Tour 2008, in which she’s performing. She also has a single, ”15 Minutes of Shame,” due to hit country radio in August. The singer had been signed to Arista when she was 17, but she was dropped from the label then, before she recorded any music. (Billboard)
