Known for his shock talk and his rocky walk, Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) has been TV’s top doc for four seasons, easily earning a slot at No. 62 on our list of the Top 100 TV Series of the last 25 years in the new EW 1000 issue. The gleeful misanthropist prides himself on his ability to solve arcane diagnostic puzzles without getting emotionally involved in the lives of his patients, but in the recent season 4 finale, “Wilson’s Heart,” his detachment is sorely tested when he holds the life of one of his colleagues in his hands.
