Married Lovers

The tireless author of glammed-up beach reads is back with Married Lovers, another skanky tale of Hollywood men and the women they lust after. In this case, the primary object of affection is Cameron Paradise, a lithesome personal trainer who dates a smoldering talk-show host but secretly yearns for a smoldering (but married) producer. As usual, Jackie Collins doesn’t hold back on the unnecessarily crude dialogue; there’s even a pet parrot that exclaims ”f— you!” She’s still competent at building tension, as Cameron’s past comes back to haunt her in the form of an angry, gun-toting Australian — who’s smoldering, of course. B-
