(FROM VARIETY) ? Ed Helms, who plays Andy on The Office, has landed a role in the indie feature Manure, alongside Billy Bob Thornton, and a supporting role in Night at the Museum 2: Escape From the Smithsonian. For the comedy Manure, which is being directed by Mark and Michael Polish (Northfork), Helms will portray a womanizing manure peddler. The story is about a trio of manure salesmen in 1960s America. Tea Leoni and Kyle MacLachlan are also on board, and shooting is already underway. For Museum 2, Helms plays a co-worker of Ben Stiller‘s character. Shooting on that project, which Shawn Levy is directing and producing, is scheduled to start this month. Helms will next be seen in theaters with Eddie Murphy in Meet Dave, which opens in July, and with Jeremy Piven in The Goods: The Don Ready Story, which releases next February. (Variety)
