(FROM THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) — Kelly Preston has been cast in Suburban Shootout, a pilot that Barry Sonnenfeld is directing for HBO. The show is based on a darkly comic British TV series, in which an urban woman escapes to the countryside, only to find herself caught in between rival gangs of murderous housewives. The Jerry Maguire alumna will play the leader of one of the gangs.

Elsewhere, Adam Goldberg (Saving Private Ryan) has joined The Unusuals, a New York-set police dramedy. He’ll play a detective with a brain tumor in the show, which is in the works at ABC. (The Hollywood Reporter)
