(FROM VARIETY) ? The Screen Actors Guild and Alliance of Television and Motion Picture Producers released a joint statement on Wednesday (April 23) saying that they have extended their negotiations another week, until May 2. The announcement came just after the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists announced that it is postponing the start date for its negotiations until May 5 in response to a request from the AMPTP. After eight days of talks, it appears there are still a number of major issues to work out between SAG and AMPTP, but the announcement that negotiations will continue is something of a positive sign.
