Panic at the Disco fans disappointed by the lack of electronic dance beats on that band’s new CD should console themselves with this debut from 18-year-old MySpace fave Daniel Hunter, a.k.a. PlayRadioPlay! Texas can get bogged down with the kind of heart-on-sleeve confessions proffered by every tortured emo dude: ”Inside I’m confusing myself with these conflicting emotions,” Hunter whines on ”Loco Commotion.” Still, his uncommon knack for supercatchy synth-rock hooks keeps most of these tunes moving at the speed of youth.
