Eva Mendes treating ''personal issues''
A rep confirms that the actress is taking some time off to seek ''professional support''
In response to reports that Eva Mendes, 33, has entered a rehab facility, a rep for actress told EW.com on Friday that Mendes is seeking ”professional support” for ”personal issues.”
”Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support,” the rep said via an email. ”Out of respect for Eva’s privacy, we do not wish to discuss further details.”
TMZ reports that Mendes checked into the Cirque Lodge, the same facility that treated Lindsay Lohan, among other celebrities.
The news comes on the same day that Calvin Klein announced that it has selected Mendes for an upcoming Calvin Klein Fragrances ad campaign, set to debut in the fall.
Last year, Mendes worked in Diane English’s remake of George Cukor’s 1939 classic The Women, which also stars Meg Ryan, Candice Bergen, and Annette Bening, and is set to release this fall. She also shot the Lionsgate feature The Spirit last year, which stars Scarlett Johanssen and Samuel L. Jackson and is set to open in January 2009.
