(FROM VARIETY) ? Law & Order creator Dick Wolf and NBC Universal are in talks with ITV and U.K. production company Kudos Film for a British version of the veteran drama, which just launched its 18th season in the U.S. The working title is Law & Order: London. It is aiming for a 13-episode order by ITV. The American Law & Order has been a hit in the U.K. for years. Like adaptations already airing in France and Russia, the British Law & Order would use scripts already written for the U.S. show, reworking them to fit U.K. culture (changing defense lawyers to barristers, for example). It’s also likely that the London version would eventually make its way back to the U.S., most likely on a cable network like USA or Bravo. (Variety)
