Samuel L. Jackson will star in Blue Star Entertainment and Inferno Entertainment’s upcoming thriller Unfinished Country. The fact-based story, penned by Mark Wheaton (The Messengers), is about the chief administrator of an overcrowded South African hospital (Jackson), whose treatment of his patients is drawn into question when an American med student arrives to do his residency and the institution gets caught up in a gang war. The movie will be shot in South Africa. Jackson is currently in production on Frank Miller’s The Spirit. He recently wrapped Doug Liman’s Jumper, Neil LaBute’s Lakeview Terrace, and the Jon Favreau-helmed Iron Man, and he just signed on to star as a nanny in New Line Cinema’s The Man That Rocks the Cradle.
