Though the premise suggests otherwise — Buscemi’s political reporter deigns to write a profile on Miller’s young starlet — Interview isn’t so much a critique of celebrity culture as a peek into the baffling clockwork that is human behavior. Both leads are riveting as they wile away the night, insulting, seducing, and deceiving each other — not to mention us. EXTRAS In his commentary track, Buscemi, who also co-wrote and directed this remake of a 2003 Dutch film by the late Theo van Gogh, admits he’s a ”whore for laughs.” And yes, the movie has a few. B+
