This Mexican-American emcee is a skilled networker, if nothing else. His third studio album, Cyclone, features an array of famous friends: Vocoder aficionado T-Pain, past-his-prime crooner Keith Sweat, and UGK’s Pimp C all turn in perfunctory vocals, while crunkmaster Lil Jon and nascent superproducer J.R. Rotem provide passable beats. But Baby Bash himself is by far the weakest link. Though he fancies himself a sweet talker, clumsy lyrics such as ”She wanna add me to her life like a MySpace friend” come off like cringeworthy pickup lines. C-
