The long-gestating Ghosts of Girlfriends Past project seems to finally be gaining steam for New Line Cinema. Jennifer Garner is in negotiations to co-star opposite Matthew McConaughey in this comedy centering on a bachelor who attends his younger brothers’ wedding, only to be visited by the ghosts of his past loves. Ironically, the project was once at Disney where Garner’s current husband, Ben Affleck, was set to play the bachelor. The project was shelved back in 2003 and Disney disputed press reports suggesting the studio put Girlfriends Past into turnaround because of the barrage of negative publicity surrounding Affleck at the time. Funny how times have changed.
