We grade the latest movie trailers

The Brave One
Jodie Foster — who, it seems, no longer ages — plays the survivor of a vicious, random attack who refuses to lay down and die. What looks like it could be a Law & Order episode seems elevated by the stellar cast (including Terrence Howard). B+

Lions for Lambs
Preaching, preaching, Tom Cruise in a weird three-piece suit, preaching, Meryl Streep looking flummoxed, preaching, Robert Redford saying ”Rome is burning, son.” A whole lot of message crammed into a minute, and no sense of the film itself. C

Vantage Point
Looks like what Déjà Vu should’ve been. When the president is shot while giving a speech in Spain, the clues to who’s behind it rest with eight witnesses. Aside from the fact that they give away that POTUS isn’t really dead, it’s a smart spot. A-

Untitled J.J. Abrams film
Don’t know what it’s called, and I don’t really know what’s happening — an NYC going-away party disrupted by monstery Armageddon? — but this shot-on-home-video flick looks geektastically awesome with a capital AWE. A
