In her opening scene as a beer-drinking ”superstar pro wrestler” in an American-flag bikini top, a barefoot Jaime Pressly (My Name is Earl) impressively karate-kicks Asian hijackers off her yacht. Embarrassing? No, funny. If you only ever see one bad movie about warrior chicks who meet on a tropical isle for a fight contest, make it DOA: Dead or Alive. Director Cory Yuen has midair slo-mo kicking down cold, and Eric Roberts — his villain hair done up in three shades of grey — gives good Eric Robertsian spin to lines like ”I like her….musculature!”
