Moore Than Meets the Eye
Why do you continue to deify ”filmmaker” Michael Moore (”Ready for Moore?”)? The only concept he has ever proven is that the words documentary and factual are, unfortunately, no longer synonymous.

Thanks for Daniel Gross’ sidebar to the interview about Sicko. It helped balance Michael Moore’s view of the U.S. health-care system. I’ve grown not to expect a counterpoint from the media regarding Moore’s films, and I’m glad you saw fit to include it.

Exec Cons
”Are You Killing TV?” No, network suits are. Fourteen shows I tuned in to this season were axed; some didn’t even last two weeks. The least networks can do is show some respect for their series by giving them longer than two to four episodes to find an audience!

Remember Drive? My DVR did, but Fox canned it before I got around to watching. If the networks’ patience is measured in weeks or days, they shouldn’t be surprised when viewers respond accordingly.

Peeps’ Impact
Mark Harris, thank you for articulating my thoughts (The Final Cut). Grindhouse may not have sold to ”the people,” but it challenged the norm. I want more of that. I have an entertainment budget, and I want studios to give me something to spend my hard-earned money on.

Once the phrase ”Spiders of the Shrekibbean” popped into Mark Harris’ head, it must have been difficult for him to not run down the street shouting, ”I’m brilliant!”

It’s impossible to imagine anyone being a more qualified fan of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s than Randy Jennings from Sacramento. Not only does he possess a ”collection of Arnold merchandise valued at over $20,000,” not only has he ”met Arnold over 20 times,” not only has he seen all of his films since Conan the Barbarian, but he also runs the fansite Hmm…wonder if he voted for the Governator?
