House‘s Jennifer Morrison (pictured) will star as an American journalist in a Lifetime movie called The Murder of Princess Diana. I’m proud of Jennifer — she’s always decent in everything else she does. But does anyone else feel like Lifetime is her true calling? When I first saw her on House, I remember thinking “What made-for-TV movies have I seen this girl in?” It had a lot to do with her generically pretty face and lengthy, just-the-right-thickness-for-TV-styling hair. I believe I even levitated and traveled to my computer to look it up, which was huge. Turns out it wasn’t a made-for-TV movie; it was Dawson’s Creek, which is kind of the same thing. (I also just found this really unfortunate clip of Jen hanging out with old-nosed Ashlee Simpson, but don’t even click on that.)

I don’t mean any of this in a bad way: I like Jen-Mo and I get a kick out of Lifetime. Whether or not she’s really leaving House (as was suggested in the season finale), allow me to propose that there might be no stopping her once she’s been bitten by the Lifetime “original telefilm” butterfly. She could do hundreds! I want to see her break Meredith Baxter’s record of Lifetime movie roles. Jen’s only 28, so I think she can do it! Go, shiny hair, go!

So, who else on TV should segue into the Lifetime circuit?
