Bedazzled (Movie - 1967)

type
  • Movie

Any film that includes the billing ”Raquel Welch as Lust” is off to a good start, and director Stanley Donen’s comedic Faust retelling, set in swinging London, only gets better. Balancing zany high jinks and deadpan genius, this Bedazzled bests its 2000 remake with Cook’s unblinking Beelzebub, Moore as a lovable short-order cook, an animated sequence, and, best of all, Cook’s blasé intonation of ”You fill me with inertia” in the theme-song set piece. EXTRAS
Include two minutes of Moore interviewing Cook — in character as the Devil.
