Jack Attack
I loved your cover with 24‘s Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland). But why did you ruin it with the photo of Bald Britney? I had to cut that chunk out before pinning the cover over my computer.

‘Girls,’ Interrupted
I thought I was the only one who found Gilmore Girls‘ Luke annoying (Television). Every time I had to watch his custody battle I wanted to pull my hair out! I don’t know when it became Gilmore Girls + One, but the show would be much better if they lost the ”hangdog hash-slinger.”

Leap of Faith
I found Mark Harris’ column ”Politically Incorrect” (The Final Cut) quite interesting. As a former writer for That ’70s Show and Buffy the Vampire Slayer and an evangelical Christian, I have fascinating debates with myself about which one of me is causing more damage to our culture. Hollywood remains strikingly nondiverse when it comes to characters of faith (although more of them are cropping up on TV). I hope what you wrote will get networks and writers to open their minds a bit.

Spears’ Crossroad
Regarding the Britney Spears story ”Can This Career Be Saved?” (News & Notes), I think the more urgent question is ”Can this life be saved?” Is there no lesson to be learned from the tragic end of Anna Nicole Smith and many of the other young, talented, and attractive — but ultimately lost — celebrities who self-destruct?

Kiefer Sutherland’s 24 stunt double’s name is spelled Erik Stabenau (”Real Time”).

For Colin Nasseri of San Francisco, being a massive Smiths fan entails more than just moping around a lot. He’s amassed enough autographs, rare T-shirts, and vintage posters to create what his friends jokingly refer to as ”The Smiths Museum.” But ”the topper,” Colin says, is a group of Smiths-influenced short stories he penned called ”You, Me and Morrissey” that he ”has actually sold” to other obsessive fans!
