Young R&B crooner Lloyd has a lot going for him: fresh-faced looks, a clean tenor that echoes early Michael Jackson, and one of the most charming songs on the radio. ”You” is a Spandau Ballet-sampling soul-pop stunner that features a typically scene-stealing verse from Lil Wayne. The track opens Street Love, Lloyd’s sophomore disc, and ends it (there’s an exuberant remix featuring Nas and OutKast’s André 3000). Unfortunately, in between, Lloyd’s talents are adrift on an ocean of samey slow jams. B-
