This whole time, I’ve been secretly watching The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency and just NOT blogging about it. The time has come for that to end.

Whatever you think you know about Janice, or modeling reality shows, or even the concept of reality or life itself, throw it aside and just watch one ep of JDMA. To me, it’s the strangest and somehow most compelling reality show out there right now. The entire thing — every line, every ill-conceived “plot” every “random” character — is completely scripted, and it’s becoming more and more obvious as the show (apparently) has hired more and more writers. And yet at this point, I still can’t tell who the joke’s on. Viewers? The actor/models? Janice herself? I alternate between imagining Janice as the mastermind behind the whole operation and as a blabbermouth robot who runs disastrously on a strict diet of chemicals and martinis. Either way, you can’t beat last week’s text-message prompt (pictured)….

I love it.
