We don’t often push merch in this here blog, but every so often a tchotchke warms our hearts and touches our souls. Especially if it’s Chewbacca-related. And what have we here? Seems the folks at Mimoco are selling Star Wars-themed USB drives that, in our humble opinion, rank up there with the Star Wars foosball table and those life-size whooshing Light Sabers (don’t scoff — they’re indispensable come Comic-Con).

Some stats: These “Mimobots” bear the likenesses of Vader, Chewy, R2, or a Stormtrooper. They come in one, two, and four GB sizes and range from roughly $80 to $170. We also assume they’re licensed goods, or Mimoco can look forward to Lucasfilm suing the midi-chlorians out of them.

Now, before you get your knickers in a wad over the dearth of characters represented, I’d like to point out that this set is labeled “Series 1.” Here’s hoping the next line includes at least Han Solo and Lando Calrissian — ’cause I’m itching to reenact that legendary heated game of sabacc during which Solo-the-stud-that-he-is snags the Millennium Falcon. That’s right: Everybody’s a winner! Well, except for Billy Dee…
