Upcoming star cameos on TV

Lucy Liu on Ugly Betty

Starting Feb. 15, the Charlie’s Angel who wasn’t Drew or Cameron will show up in two episodes as Daniel’s college pal.
Good for Her?
Definitely: The lauded Betty should wash off the stink from Liu’s last flick, Code Name: The Cleaner.
Good for Us?
She’s always been suited for TV (see: Ally McBeal). And her judgmental puss is perfect for a snarky show like Betty.

Natalie Portman on The Simpsons

Thanks to Queen Amidala, Portman is every geek’s fantasy girl. But it’s Bart, not Milhouse, who falls for her on the Feb. 11 Simpsons, where she’ll voice an older girl named Darcy.
Good for Her?
Totally. It only makes her that much cooler, especially in Geekland.
Good for Us?
Who doesn’t love Portman when she plays flirtatious ingenues (e.g., Beautiful Girls)?

Andrew Lloyd Webber on Grease: You’re the One That I Want

The man behind musicals The Phantom of the Opera and Evita judges a show-tune-themed episode on Feb. 11.
Good for Him?
There are worse things he could do for his career, like…um…give us a second…
Good for Us?
Only if Sandy and Danny have to sing while perched atop a giant floating tire, à la Cats.
