Where to find the movie reviews

This is our final review section of 2006 — as you could probably tell by the sheer number of big movies we’re reviewing. But there’s a yule-tidal wave of new releases coming on both Christmas and the last Friday of the year — so many, in fact, that we’ll have to catch up with a number of them in the New Year. Along with reviews of films that were not screened for our critics in time for this issue — such as Eragon and Night at the Museum — you’ll get pieces on late-December Oscar hopefuls like Notes on a Scandal, Children of Men, Pan’s Labyrinth, Miss Potter, Curse of the Golden Flower, The Painted Veil, Venus, and Breaking and Entering. Then there are the movies that don’t even pretend to have statuettes in their sights: Black Christmas, Happily N’Ever After, and Code Name: The Cleaner. So have a great holiday season, and we’ll see you next year.
