Where were you when the VH1 reality show featuring then-newlyweds David Gest and Liza Minnelli bit the dust before the first broadcast? Backstage at the Xanadu Cabaret, half out of your Cyd Charisse drag? Doesn’t matter, anyway: A miracle has happened. A never-was has been transmuted into a has-been, through the necromancy of YouTube, TV’s embalming table. Go see it now, before they take it down.

It’s hard to pick a favorite moment in this transfixing mash of irrelevance, idleness and vibrato, but I’m going to go with a tie between Liza’s chipper greeting to her driver (“Good morning, M’hummed!” –- sounds like a long-lost Kander and Ebb show) and Nicholas, the preteen son of her vocal coach, who does such a scaaaaary good Liza, they should probably go ahead and prebook the Aladdin.

Also: Has Madame Tussaud’s done a Wax Dracula inventory lately? Because they’re one short, unless Gest has wandered home.
