I’m not too interested in the ”What will Katie Couric wear?” question; you just know that CBS will have her wear some dull, boxy, Donna Karan thing to help her convey gravitas. In fact, the new anchor’s only shot at creative jauntiness may be her choice of tagline. ”I contemplated ‘Peace out, homies,”’ she quipped to the Associated Press.”That just didn’t feel completely right.” Unfortunately, ”Good night, and have a pleasant tomorrow” is already taken. So is ”Respeck.” And another CBS star already owns ”Suit up.” So let’s offer her a few suggestions:

”Boy, are my legs tired.”
”Whoop, there it is.”
”Adios, muchachos.”
”The rest is silence.”
”Tonight, Charlie Sheen dates volleyball-playing twins on Two and a Half Men.”
”Don’t forget that colonoscopy.”
”Here is your moment of Zen.”
”Smile and wave, boys, just smile and wave.”

Any other ideas?
