The L.A. landmarks on reality show ''The Hills'' -- Lauren and Co. traipse through some of the hottest places in town
MTV’s The Hills may be a spin-off of Laguna Beach, but it feels like an I <3 L.A. ad. As the Aug. 2 season finale approaches, EW maps out the city's hottest spots, according to Lauren & Co.
1. TEEN VOGUE OFFICE
A more honest location would be the clothing-and-accessories closet, since that’s where interns Lauren and Whitney sit. To be fair, they’re probably not the only fashion-mag employees to start off in the closet.
Not the airport, but a hip club (co-owned by DJ AM, ex-fiancé of Nicole Richie). It’s where Lauren’s best friend, Heidi, met her boss, Brent Bolthouse.
3. BOLTHOUSE PRODUCTIONS
Heidi landed her dream job at this party promotions company, which caters to trendy clubs like Privilege and Hyde Lounge.
4. QUIXOTE STUDIOS
Lauren’s tanorexic neighbor Audrina answers phones at this photography studio.
5. FRED SEGAL
A Melrose Avenue classic. Heidi and Lauren indulge in some serious retail therapy at this exclusive West Hollywood boutique. (Celeb fans include Lindsay Lohan and Jessica Simpson.)
6. THE ARCLIGHT
Lauren and sometime boyfriend Jason took in a date flick at this upscale cinema, which features reserved seating.
7. HOLLYWOOD ROOSEVELT HOTEL
Former Marilyn Monroe hangout, now renowned for the thrashing that Lauren received after giving her pals VIP treatment at a Teen Vogue bash.
8. GEISHA HOUSE
In the show’s premiere episode, Lauren, Heidi, and their crew dined at the dimly lit Japanese eatery (investors include Ashton Kutcher and Wilmer Valderrama).
Heidi dropped out, but Lauren still attends the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, where she spends most of her time staring out the window, pondering her future with Jason and other big life questions.
