Everyone’s favorite unpredictable American Idol judge –- I speak of Paula Abdul, of course — turns 44 today. In her honor, I’ve composed a little tribute ditty (to the hard-to-shake tune of ”Rush, Rush.”) Won’t you sing along with me?

You’re a whisper of sheer lunacy
You put Idol singer’s souls at ease
What I’m saying is
I’m scared of you

Here’s my story, and the story goes
I’m ”Knocked Out,” ”Crazy Cool,” and ”Straight Up,” heaven knows
I’m kind of a fan
So I’ll admit, I cannot lie
I saw your Spellbound concert too, yeah
All my pride, all my shame
People forgive me, please

Paul-la
MC Skat Cat baby, come to me
Paul-la
I wanna see, I wanna see your
Choreography
Paul-la
I can feel it, I can feel ”Vibeology”
Paul-la
Ooh, you’re on QVC
