The latest in movie trailers

Casino Royale
”This may be too much for a blunt instrument to understand.” Damn, M, that’s cold, but there’s a primal vitality on display, the likes of which we haven’t seen in Bond for decades. Add some spy tech, wet bathing suits, and the ol’ explodo…we’re there. A-

Another one from the Disney based-on-a-true-sports-story warehouse. Mark Wahlberg plays a Philly bartender who, against the standard ”all odds,” makes the Eagles team. Will likely reduce middle-aged men to tear-soaked wrecks. B+

Jet Li plays a warrior who loses his family and retires to the country, only to be called back into action for a martial-arts tournament. Or something. Hard to tell, as there’s no dialogue in this elegant, impressive trailer. Then again, you don’t need any. A

The Lake House
Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock are together again…sort of. There’s something sweet and Sleepless in Seattle-y to this spot for a story of two people separated by time and united by a magic mailbox (yeah, you read that right). B
