What's Left of Me

With a teasing title to court the tabloid-addicted, the ex-Newlywed‘s 12-track, one-note whinefest What’s Left of Me calls to mind the Backstreet Boys’ recent attempt at vanilla-pop pain — but with an unbecoming infusion of rage. He bitterly commands his ”mystery” lady to burn, steal, bleed, beg, and crawl to ”see how it feels” on the cornball Corey Hart-ish rocker ”I Do It for You.” But all the real-life divorce drama in the world can’t hide what’s really left of this boy-band survivor: remarkably bland and replaceable vocals.
