You, Me and Dupree

Last time we saw that rascal Owen Wilson, he was overstaying his welcome at weddings. Which also sorta describes this comedy, in which he plays a ne’er-do-well who camps out on the couch of his newlywed buddy (Matt Dillon) a leeettle too long. Kate Hudson, who plays Dillon’s brand-new wife, found her onscreen marriage to be a childhood dream come true. ”When I was little I had a crush on Matt Dillon,” says the 27-year-old actress, giddily. ”I had a Drugstore Cowboy crush.” Responds Dillon, 42, with a laugh: ”Uh-oh, that would have gotten her into trouble!”
