Keeping Up With The Steins

Poseidon‘s not the only ship setting sail on May 12: In Scott Marshall’s feature debut, the Fiedlers (Jami Gertz and Jeremy Piven) strive to outdo a rival family’s Titanic-themed bar mitzvah. ”This is more a family comedy,” Marshall jokes. Speaking of family, the helmer’s mom and young son have small parts, while his father, director Garry Marshall (Pretty Woman), plays Piven’s estranged, skinny-dipping dad. ”He went to a nudist colony in the ’70s, so I knew he wouldn’t have a problem,” says Scott. ”I didn’t look at him so much that day.”
