Weeks after L.A. psychologist Alex Delaware meets an aspiring actress who faked her own kidnapping for PR, she’s murdered and her partner-in-hoax is MIA.

Stock Character The hirsute, alcoholic janitor with a criminal past and a penchant for creepy stares.

Body Count Eleven.

Bottom Line Sharply written and well-paced, Kellerman’s 20th Delaware outing feels slightly by-the-numbers; besides, the victims are mostly vapid would-be actors.
