I don’t know about you, but I’ve been feeling a little burned out by all the fall-TV-pilot-casting news coming my way lately. That is, until I read this morning that Illeana Douglas has signed on for ABC’s Women of a Certain Age, the new Heather Locklear comedy about a widow trying to put her life back together with help from her two best friends.

Everybody knows Locklear is small-screen gold (LAX notwithstanding), but Douglas, well, she’s pure platinum (as she proved in the lamentably short-lived Action and in her recurring guest spot on Six Feet Under). So now the question looms, which actress should complete the tantalizing trio? (Yeah, I know we don’t know what kind of character the writers are cooking up, but just play along…)

Hilarious Mo’Nique might not be available if Phat Girlz proves as funny as its trailer. Locklear’s Melrose Place compatriot Lisa Rinna would be a hoot, but she’s rumored to be taking over as cohost of Dancing With the Stars. So how about an underutilized thespian like Skin‘s sexy-tough Rachel Ticotin or That’s Life‘s delightful Heather Paige Kent (who’s headed for the side of a milk carton any day now)? Those are my casting choices, PopWatchers, so how ’bout sharing yours?
