I already know what a lot of you are thinking: Shouldn’t ABC take The Bachelor franchise out back with a can of tuna? Of course they should. But apparently, not before they subject us to at least one more go-around of the painful (yet embarassingly addictive) reality dating show. TV Tattle pointed us to a Daily News story about Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer turning down the opportunity to irreparably damage his career by letting cameras capture him dating 25 fame-hungry she-beasts lovelorn women, but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be fun to see some other famous person grab the reins of shame. Preferably someone with an sense of humor and an arsenal of adjectives that goes beyond ”great,” ”amazing,” and ”excited.” I’d choose Entrourage scene-stealer Jeremy Piven (pictured, with friends), who already proved such a winning romantic lead in ABC’s short-lived Cupid.

Who would you choose as the next Bachelor?

Chris Harrison hosts the veteran reality romance series. Will you accept this rose?
