John Malkovich is a fashion designer
Okay, so it’s no portal to the brain, but Malkovich’s Uncle Kimono menswear (johnmalkovich collection.com) does offer access to the idiosyncratic actor’s style — at least for those who can afford prices that reach $2,000. His latest creation? The Libertine, a poet’s shirt inspired by his work on the flick. But it’s far from the only item bearing a distinctly Malkovichian moniker:
NORWEGIAN WOOD
A wool blazer, inexplicably tied to the Beatles tune. Obviously, the Ringo of the collection.
NERVOUS BREAKDOWN JACKET
A retro leather trench that screams Martin Lawrence.
FREE MARTHA
While no jail-made poncho, this boiled-wool overcoat with astrakhan fur lapels will keep any gentleman warm in the big house.
EAST OF EDEN
A wide-collared V-neck sweater that’s more Mr. Rogers than James Dean.
