Billy Dee Williams grades ”The Bachelor”

The Bachelor is a moment in our human history: It’s courting as entertainment. And it is entertaining. The latest guy, Travis Stork, is beautiful, and the girls are beautiful. Actually, the girls are unbelievable ! Especially when they are plotting and scheming. Make no mistake, the ladies know how to plot. It’s how they survive. Women are mental. Guys are physical — and guys are stupid. Men have no idea where they are going, and the Bachelor is like that, confronted with all those beautiful ladies. He is overwhelmed. How could you not be?

The show has all the elements of a soap opera. The Bachelor is like a little boy in a candy shop — so many options! He’s a romantic in his heart, and that’s a wonderful thing but it can also get you in a lot of trouble. He’s trying to be the knight in shining armor, but those ladies, they don’t give a crap about that. They’re more interested in winning that rose. It’s the rose that matters.

These ladies are totally unpredictable. They know what they want and there is no arguing with them. I stopped getting into arguments with women because an argument with a lady is like being on a merry-go-round, and no one gets off till they get you where they want. This battle between men and women has gone on since the beginning of time — and it sure is fun to watch.
