Ice Age 2: The Meltdown

Second chapters worked big-time for Toy Story and Shrek, so here comes round 2 for wooly mammoth Manny (Ray Romano) and his CG pals. The gentle giant discovers he’s among the last mammals on earth. He wants a family and targets a female wooly named Ellie (Queen Latifah). But because she’s been raised with two noisy possums (American Pie‘s Seann William Scott, and Josh Peck, costar of Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh), she thinks she’s a possum herself. Says director Carlos Saldanha of Ellie, ”Her backstory is, she’s got an identity issue.” (March 31)
